01 Why Auction?
The auction method is one of the most effective ways to achieve the true market value of your property, item, or vehicle. By selling at auction, we can gauge interest in the lead-up to the auction date and allow all interested parties to compete on auction day.
Instead of agreeing a sale and waiting for an exchange, you will exchange contracts with the highest bidder on auction day—provided the reserve price has been met or exceeded.
02 What information do we require?
The more information you provide, the better. We can research further details online using the basics you supply.
Helpful Information for Properties:
- Full address
- Description of the property
- Tenure (Freehold/Leasehold)
- Tenancy details (if applicable)
- Photographs and floor plans (if available).
For Vehicles:
- Vehicle Title / Registration Card (Mulkiya)
- Make, Model, Year
- VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
- Mileage (Odometer Reading)
- Engine & Transmission Type
- Colour, Trim, and Variant
- Service History / Maintenance Records
- Accident History (if any)
- Recent Inspection Report (optional but recommended)
- High-Resolution Photos (interior, exterior, engine bay, odometer)
- Loan Clearance Certificate (if financed)
- Police Clearance / No Objection Certificate (NOC)
For Items:
- Make / Model / Artist
- Age and condition
- Purchase receipts
- Provenance
- Photographs.
Photography
Include at least one photograph of the entire object, plus detailed shots showing important features such as signatures or maker’s marks.
Description
Provide details such as the artist or maker’s name, title of the artwork, medium, measurements, documentation or paperwork, exhibition or valuation history, and where you acquired the piece.
Submit
Complete the online valuation form with your contact details so one of our specialists can reply with your auction estimate. The more information you provide, the more accurate our valuation will be.
03 Auction Process
Step 1: Get in Touch

Step 2: Professional Appraisal
We will provide a suitable guide and reserve price for your property, item, or vehicle, along with our terms and conditions of sale, entry fees, and commission details.
Step 3: Verification and Entry
We require identification from the seller before listing your asset.
Once contracts are exchanged, your lot will be entered onto the Maynard Auctions platform.
Step 4: Professional Marketing
We will arrange photography and, where applicable, video or virtual tours to enhance marketing. Your lot will be advertised on our website and other major portals for maximum exposure.
Step 5: Documentation and Information
We will request all relevant documents to create a Property Information Pack (PIP), visible to prospective buyers.
Step 6: Viewings and Communication
We will organise viewings (if applicable) and keep you updated throughout the process, handling all enquiries and reporting offers.
Step 7: Auction Day
You can watch the auction online and track bids in real time.
Step 8: After the Auction
If your lot sells at or above the reserve price, we will invoice the purchaser.
If unsold, we will present the highest offers and any post-auction bids to try and secure a deal.
Completion is generally set at 21 working days after the auction ends, subject to special terms if applicable.
04 Auction Fees
Real estate lots: 1% + VAT of the hammer price (subject to a minimum of AED 10,000 + VAT).
Item lots: 15% + VAT of the hammer price.
Lotting Fees: AED 150 + VAT per lot. Additional lots in the same auction: AED 75 + VAT per lot. Lotting fees are non-refundable. If a lot is re-entered into a future auction, the fee does not apply again for that specific lot.
