Description:
The 2012 Diamond Jubilee sovereign is differentiated by the design which was commissioned to celebrate the diamond jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. This coin features the fourth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley on its obverse and a one-off design of St George and the Dragon by Paul Day on its reverse. The Sovereign is considered by many to be a flagship coin of The Royal Mint.
