Description:
First introduced in 1986, the 1oz Australian Kangaroo is minted by Perth Mint. Often referred to as the Nugget, the Kangaroo initially featured an image of a gold nugget on its reverse and was changed to a kangaroo three years later. The design has been rotated every year since. The coin's obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
